Vaccines Protect You at Every Age

At Tepeyac Community Health Center, we believe vaccination is the best protection. Vaccines are one of the safest and most effective ways to prevent serious illness, protect people of all ages, and reduce the spread of preventable diseases throughout our community.

We provide vaccinations for infants, children, teens, adults, pregnant patients, and older adults as part of our comprehensive primary care services. Recommended Immunizations

For Children under 18:

Making sure your child is up to date on their recommended vaccines is one of the best ways to protect their health and help keep our communities healthy.

Chickenpox (varicella)
COVID-19
Diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough (DTaP/Tdap)
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
HIB (Haemophilus influenzae type b)
HPV (human papillomavirus), which protects against several cancers

Influenza (Flu)
Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR)
Meningitis (Meningococcal, Meningococcal B)
Pneumonia (Pneumoccocal)
Polio
RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), when recommended
Rotavirus

For Adults:

Vaccinations continue to play an important role in protecting your health as you get older. Staying current on recommended adult vaccines can reduce your risk of serious illness, hospitalization, and complications.

COVID-19
Hepatitis A and B – for adults at risk or not previously vaccinated
Influenza (Flu)
Tdap or Td (tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough) – every 10 years

Some additional vaccinations are recommended for adults aged 50+ and 19- to 49-year-olds with certain underlying medical conditions.

Pneumonia (pneumococcal)
RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)
Shingles (zoster)

For Pregnant Women:

Getting vaccinated during pregnancy helps protect both you and your baby. Certain vaccines allow your body to create protective antibodies that are passed to your baby before birth, helping protect them during their first few months of life.

Vaccine Resources for Spanish Speakers

Vaccines protect more than just the person receiving them. When more people stay up to date on recommended immunizations, it helps prevent outbreaks and protects infants, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems who are at greater risk of serious illness.
