Caring for All of You

As a proud alumnus of Regis University, it is truly an honor to share this next chapter of partnership between our two institutions— one that brings me full circle in more ways than I ever imagined.

When I arrived at Regis as a 17-year-old student from Albuquerque, I couldn’t have imagined the path that lay ahead. I majored in English and began my career as a middle school teacher at an inner-city Catholic grade school in Denver.  Without a doubt though, it was my time at Regis through the campus ministry office, community service opportunities, and a Jesuit education grounded in social justice that formed my life's work.

It was while working for a US Senator and thinking about my next career options, that I was invited to serve on the parish council at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. What began as a conversation about unmet healthcare needs in our community, quickly became my life's mission. With the help of dedicated neighbors, parishioners, and students from Regis College, we opened the doors of what would become Tepeyac Community Health Center. It is important to note that it was the Regis students who took the lead in conducting a community-wide health survey, which provided the supporting data that we needed to justify this project and obtain the initial funding that would set the stage for future growth.

Today, more than 30 years later, Tepeyac has grown from an 800 square foot, two exam room clinic to a 25,000 square foot, state of the art health center, delivering integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to thousands of individuals and working families each year.

As you will soon discover, Tepeyac is more than just a clinic — it is an extension of a shared vision, rooted in compassion, equity, and commitment to excellence. It is the continuation of a decades long relationship between two institutions that believe deeply in the dignity of every human being and the power of service to transform lives.

Whether you walk through our doors in person or meet our team virtually, I want you to know this: you belong here. Your health and wellbeing matter. And we are honored to care for you with the highest level of professionalism and compassion that you deserve.

From one Regis Ranger to another, welcome to Tepeyac!

In service and gratitude,

Tepeyac Community Health Center has partnered with Regis University to expand services and provide students with culturally responsive, quality medical, behavioral health, and pharmacy care. Thanks to our integrated care model, students can now receive all these services under one roof.

We accept the Regis Student Health Insurance Program as well as most major insurances, Medicaid, Medicare, and we offer financial assistance through our sliding scale payment program. While we accept SHIP for all primary and behavioral care, it is not accepted by our dental department.
