Chief Health Officer, Ex officio (non-voting) Board Member Dr. Pamela Valenza, MD, Chief Health Officer Tepeyac’s CHO starting in February 2018, provides medical direction, supervision, and integration of medical, behavioral, and dental health services within the clinic using her expertise working in integrated, team-based medical settings. Dr. Valenza received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine where she received an Award for Excellence in Family Medicine, and she has since focused on serving Latinos, immigrants, Spanish speakers and medically underserved populations. Dr. Valenza completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Colorado/Denver Health, where she was appointed chief resident, and she is currently certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. In 2016, she received an award from the Pennsylvania Medical Society as one of the Top 40 Under 40 physicians in the state of Pennsylvania. Her interests include women’s and children’s health including obstetrics, community health, and teaching. Dr. Valenza is an active member of the medical team at Tepeyac Community Health Center and she sees prenatal patients, children, and adults.
